This country has a wealth of marvellous native ponies, industry was borne on the backs of these hardy breeds they are part of our heritage and should be treasured and protected. The Roandale Dales Pony Stud strives to breed ponies true to type with excellent temperaments, good bone and conformation.

The Parkers often have young stock for sale and the occasional broken pony; they also breed good part breds by using their Dales stallions on their quality vanner mares, this cross results in a very useful quality cob around 15 hh – 15.2hh When time allows Charlie is able to offer tuition in the traditional skills of working ponies in chains and is happy to give advice to those seeking to work ponies on the land and particularly in forestry where Charlie’s expertise lies. Charlie often gives demonstrations of his horse logging work at shows and fetes and is fully insured. We are happy to show visitors our ponies but as we have a busy schedule please telephone and make prior arrangements.

At the Dales Pony Society AGM in November 2012 Charlie was voted onto the DPS council, he would like to thank all members who voted for him and gave him their support. Charlie will continue to do his best in the interest of Dales ponies.

Charlie believes strongly in sharing the knowledge and experience that he has gained over the years breeding and working ponies. With this in mind Charlie is happy to be contacted for advice and guidance on any Dales Pony matters.
